ABSTRACT
Objective To determine the association between axial length and central
retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) and to determine the clinical characteristics
and other risk factors of patient with CRVO.
Method Twenty four consecutive patients with unilateral CRVO were enrolled.
A-scan axial length measurements of the CRVO eyes were compared with the
fellow eyes.
Results The mean axial length of the CRVO eyes (22.85 ± 0.76 mm) and the
mean axial length of the fellow eyes (22.76 ± 0.86 mm) were not significantly
difference (p = 0.268).
Conclusions The axial length in the CRVO eyes is not statistically difference from
that of the fellow eye but is shorter than the average axial length of Thai
people (p < 0.05).
