ABSTRACT A
reported case of a 30 year-old male with herpes zoster ophthalmicus developed
right third cranial nerve palsy. His blood test for HIV antibody was positive.
He was treated with systemic acyclovir antiviral drug for ten days. He
had nearly complete recovery of ptosis and the ocular motility but partially
recovery of pupillary function during the follow-up period of ten months.
