ABSTRACT After improving the technique of staining, CIC was established in Chiang Mai University (CMU) in collaboration with Nippon Medical School (NMS). It was used for early detection of vitamin A deficiency in rural, urban and hilitribe children. Many technical problems were solved in CMU for the advance of cytologic examination.
