ABSTRACT Tuberculous
infection of the eye is rare. The most common manifestation of ocular tuberculosis
in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is choroiditis. The finding of choroidal
tubercles may play an important role in the diagnosis of hematogenous tuberculosis.
We present 2 cases coming
with prolonged fever. By physical examination, ocular examination, investigations
and their response to antituberculous drugs, we concluded that both patients
had miliary tuberculosis. Thus, the finding of choroidal tubercles in patients
with prolonged fever is an important clue to the diagnosis of hematogenous
tuberculosis.
