ABSTRACT A
reported case of a 27 year-old woman had a retino-choroidal coboma on her
left eye and developed retinal detachment extending from the coloboma to
macular area. No peripheral or intracoloboma retinal tear was found. After
the margin of the coloboma was treated by argon laser photocoagulation,
the retina attached and the visual acuity recovered from hand motion to
6/6 within 2 weeks. Visual outcome remained unchanged during a follow up
period of 18 months.
