Tarsal Infection : Fonsecaea pedrosol The First Case Report

ABSTRACT We
reported the first case of tarsal infection by Fonsecaea pedrosoi.
This case was 35 years
old female. Her underlining disease was Steven Johnson syndrome that produced
dry eye and immunity defect. She presented with irritation, blurred vision
of left eye and black pigmented granules in left upper tarsus.
She was treated by surgical
removal of granules. No antifungal drugs were given but there was no recurrence.
