ABSTRACT Three cases of Kearns-Sayre syndrome were reported from the Department of Ophthalmology, Siriraj Hospital. The first 2 cases were diagnosed by an ophthalmologist. The last case was treated by a neurologist before consulting for eye examination. All of them have no familial history. The pathological findings from deltoid muscles of two patients showed abnormal mitochondria, which can be described as mitochondrial cytopathy.
