INTRODUCTION
Posterior
circumscribed keratoconus is very rare noninflammatory comeal abnormality. first
described by Butler in 1927, characterized by central or paracentral, localized,
crater defect on the posterior corneal surface in association with stromal opacity
and normal anterior corneal curvature. The clinical findings are varied, but
usually central, unilateral, sporadic, congenital, nonfamil ial and nonprogressive,
although familial, bilateral and posttraumatic cases have
been reported.
Our purpose
is to compare the clinical features of our patient with those previous foreign
reports and this is the first report in Thailand.
