Abstract A pilot study
to compare the effect of endothelial cell loss after ECCE with IOL in two different
intraocular solutions (Solution A:imported, Solution B: local made) by counting
the endothelial cells prior the surgery and 2 months ฑ 5 days post operatively.
Thirteen eyes were enrolled in each solution,
the endothelial cell loss in solution A were 12.59% and solution B were 16.55%.
However by statistical significant (p < 0.01) the number of the eyes which
would yield in further study is 602 eyes.
