    Abstract The efficiency of the portable kit of cryo-unit for cataract surgery, invented by Chaiyen Ratnavijarn, M.D. is effective as compared to the cryo-unit available in the market. It is very economical ,mechanicaly simple, convenient and suitable for socio-economical purpose of Thailand. It is easily for sterilization for repeated used in the mobile eye camp or in the hospital. Its weight is only half of a kilogram and only 15 x 8 x 8 cms. In dimentions.
